The Blacksmiths Arms is a charming stone pub set in the conservation village of Lastingham, North Yorkshire, directly opposite the beautiful St Mary’s Church. This picturesque spot offers a warm welcome in a tranquil village setting, making it an ideal base for exploring the nearby North Yorkshire Moors.
All our guest rooms have recently been fully renovated to offer modern comfort with character. Each room is en-suite and includes thoughtful touches to make your stay even more enjoyable. After a restful night’s sleep, guests can look forward to a hearty Yorkshire breakfast before heading out to explore the stunning local landscape.
The Grouse room is inspired by the surrounding moorlands and features a double bed with an oversized, bespoke padded headboard and an en-suite shower room.
The Partridge room is a spacious super king room with an en-suite shower, which can also be arranged as a twin on request. It features a bespoke illuminated wooden headboard and herringbone wool walls, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.
The Pheasant room is a beautifully appointed double with a generous bathroom that includes a luxurious Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk double-ended bathtub. All rooms are stocked with Molton Brown toiletries for a touch of indulgence.
Food is served from 12 noon to 3:30 pm and again from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, our popular roast is served from 12 pm to 4:30 pm. Guests can dine in one of our two restaurant areas, relax in the bar, or enjoy a more intimate meal in our private dining room, which seats up to six people. During the summer months, we host live music acts in our spacious beer garden at the back of the pub. With the pizza oven fired up, it's the perfect setting to enjoy a drink, some great entertainment and a freshly made homemade pizza.
