Woodstock began as a stop off for those travelling north by coach before expanding around the Royal Hunting Lodge which became the site of Blenheim Palace, home of the Dukes of Marlborough since the early 1700s. It has plenty to offer including numerous artwork and antique shops, a museum, places of historic interest, a farmer’s market (1st Saturday of each month) as well as hosting a number of local events throughout the year.
