The Drake Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Plymouth, just a two-minute walk from the Hoe Promenade, which overlooks the historic Plymouth Sound (one of the largest natural harbours in the world and famously associated with Sir Francis Drake). Originally built in the 1820s or 1830s as the private residence of a high-ranking Naval officer, the hotel still retains many architectural features from that era. The hotel offers 19 rooms spread across four floors, accessed via traditional staircases. While there is no lift, staff are always available to assist guests with luggage.
