Hunter’s Moon provides beautiful bed and breakfast accommodation in the small rural village of Middlemarsh close to the market town of Sherborne in Dorset. Our inn offers modern comfort in a traditional 19th century coaching house, perfect for a relaxing overnight stopover or a longer stay.
The inn has 8 tastefully furnished en suite bedrooms. 4 of these are double rooms and offer showers, television and tea/coffee making facilities.
The other 4 rooms are even more spacious with a king size bed and a comfy sofa as well as shower, television and tea/coffee making facilities. These can be used as either double or twin rooms. Alternatively they can be transformed into family rooms with the sofa bed suitable for an adult or child (camp beds and travel cots are available upon request.)
All of these rooms are suitable for one night stays or longer and can be reserved for groups. A delicious breakfast is included in the tariff, we cater for all dietary requirements, please inform us in advance if you have any specific requests.

This bustling ancient town is great for shopping for visitors and locals alike. You'll also find the Cerne Abbas Giant and other local points of interest as well as nearby outdoor activities such as shooting and fishing.
Weymouth and Portland, which was venue for the 2012 Olympic sailing, is about half an hour’s drive from the inn. Here you can visit the sandy beaches, harbour and shops. You can also start to explore the Jurassic Coast from here – including Bridport, Lyme Regis and Charmouth. We're also very close to the beautiful town of Dorchester, famous for its connections with Thomas Hardy. It really is a picturesque location and well worth spending some time in.
